Increasing the energy efficiency of production and optimizing the technologies used by purchasing new equipment - these are part of the results of the projects for the implementation of energy efficiency measures of the industrial process in the Botevgrad enterprise for dental equipment "VOP" and in the Kazanlak company for metal components "Sibon-mash". The projects are financed under the program "Renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy security" ("EEEES") of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021. The total value of the energy efficiency activities carried out in "VOP" is BGN 313,355, and in "Sibon-mash" BGN 298,600 - completely grant-free financial assistance for both enterprises. Increasing the share of used RES energy in production is also among the successfully achieved goals of the projects. After their finalization, enterprises now have RES installations for their own needs and for capturing waste heat for reuse in the technological process. Energy monitoring systems have also been introduced. The managers of the companies Nikolay Vatsov ("VOP") and Nayden Atanasov ("Sibon-mash") expressed their satisfaction with the successfully implemented initiatives and thanked the donor countries for their support. Kostadin Kostadinov, project manager, pointed out that thanks to the investments made, the companies will achieve a sustainable reduction in their energy consumption and thus increase their competitiveness. Both companies are already discussing future intentions to upgrade the introduced energy efficiency measures, so as to further encourage circular models in production.
